Hey everyone! One of my close friends is getting married next month & while I’m getting them a “main” gift that’ll work for both of them (I also know the guy), I also want to gift the bride a book because we’ve gifted each other books on every birthday the last 6-7 years :’)
I would prefer gifting something she hasn’t read, and I was thinking something with a heartwarming female friendship would be cute – it doesn’t have to be the centre of the story but it should be important enough. For context, both of us read across genres, she does have an extra soft spot for mythology retellings & fantasy (esp YA) but really, recommendations across any genre would work!
I posted this on r/books first (didn’t know it wasn’t allowed) and someone suggested Madeline Miller – both of us have read A Song of Achilles and Circe already (Circe was actually one of the books I’d gifted her once in fact! XD) So yes, something like that would work – doesn’t necessarily have to be mythology / fantasy though!
