Title, but the fact that they are bad people isn’t the focus of the book/the book doesn’t try to redeem them. Like, for example The Secret History by Donna Tartt. The main cast are privileged pretentious people that think they can get away with anything, and their flaws are very obvious but they don’t make a big deal of pointing out those flaws in the book. Instead it’s up to the reader to realise how deep their delusion goes, even if the characters don’t realise it themselves.
In TV series format an example would be the show Succession – the characters are selfish and manipulative, but you follow them on their journey anyway and watch as they dig themselves deeper with less and less chance of redemption.
I guess what I’m looking for is just a book on a cast of characters that are not good and don’t do anything about it. I tend to not be good at picking out unreliable narrators, so it’s always fun to delude myself into thinking they *are* good until something happens that makes you realize they’ve always been terrible.

The great gatsby sorta?
A confederacy of dunces somewhat follows that idea. Pretty good read in my opinion
Wuthering Heights
*As I Lay Dying*. Actually, that goes for most of Faulkner’s characters. Love it.
My year of rest and relaxation. I’m currently reading it and everybody just seems to have no empathy at all💀
