I did the starts with us series. Layla was great. I couldnt finish ugly love, or maybe someday. Reminders of him was great too. I read Things We Won’t Forget and it wasn’t by her. I just love the genre and seem to only be able to pin it down to “contemporary romance.” So any and all suggestions would be fantastic!

I really like Emily Henry. Her characters have a sarcastic sense of humor that I love. I’m always in a good mood when reading her books.
Seconding Emily Henry, she’s an auto-buy author for me and I always pre-order her stuff since People We Meet On Vacation. I would also say Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld and French Holiday by Sarah Ready, I haven’t read their other stuff but I really enjoyed those two releases. Funny You Should a Ask was enjoyable too.
I feel like there’s a direct pipeline from contemporary romance to romantasy — at least there was for me — so I would throw in ACOTAR as well.
Emily Henry is hands down the best, but also check out Abby Jimenez, Ashley Poston, and Katherine Center. The Hating Game by Sally Thorne is also really popular.
