Just finished reading I’ll Give You the Sun, and am looking for recs that manage to explore siblinghood (brothers and sisters and family overall) from different angles. Whether it is a bestfriends dynamic, or rivalry, Exploration of grief, betrayal, lost-but-found-eachother, stand-in-parent-figure, etc. The ‘classics’ I already covered – The Brothers Karamazov, for ex.

    2. Go for {{100 years of Solitude}}.

Sometimes people don’t get magical realism but let me tell you you’re going to need to explore the family tree in order to get this book although once you do the work it really makes this novel pop 💣

I know that some people have a hard time grasping this novel and I totally get it but really when you do the research and things are not given to you and the author makes you work for it I believe that it is really worth the time and the trouble so 100 years of solitude is a great book when it comes to family and my family tree
