It was a cool story, the page where it explains that the road he’s looking at was torn down and destroyed 20’s years ago gave me chills. I’m a huge Twilight Zone fan so I love things that are like spooky but not necessarily horror.
I don’t even really mind religious stuff, but I just didn’t love how it kinda became straight up horror with the brother turning out to be this crazy demon thing instead of just a crazy serial killer and also the solution to everything essentially becoming faith in god.
I’d love books with similar vibes from different authors, or if Dean Koontz has something that’s more like what I described with maybe the religious undertones toned down a bit.
