I refuse to read Koontz, or King.I don’t like that as people, and don’t want to support their careers (not that my dollar matters, but it’s the principle).
I’m scared of — being chased, subtle hints that I’m not alone, being actually alone and on my own, being trapped in the middle of the ocean, and being trapped, hopelessness.
I’ve tried The Ruins, Never Lie, Coraline, and I am Legend this week, but none of them are doing it for me. Does anybody have a book that genuinely terrified them as an adult? Had anybody ever read something that actually gave them nightmares?
