Hey! Me again. I recently (ish) read Mud Sweeter than Water by Margot Rejmer and really enjoyed it. It reminds me of Barbara Demick’s work (Nothing to Envy and Beseiged) but also I have enjoyed Svetlana Alexievich. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations of similar stuff? Fiction is okay (or fictionalised) such as Twilight Zone by Nona Fernandez.
I’d prefer post war/Cold War but I’m open to most periods and locations, I’d prefer non European but as I can only read in English I know my options may be limited.
