    Most nights I get a fair amount of chair time at work, and I try to read instead of playing on my phone all night. I just finished reading “soldiers of destruction” and the book I read before that was “blood meridian or the evening redness in the west.” I enjoyed both reads, but I’m looking for something a little… easier this time. I mostly read historical nonfiction but I think I want something different this time. Open to hearing any suggestions you guys have.

    1. I have plenty of chair time too, I crush an audiobook every 1.5 days. I do listen at a minimum of 1.7 speed. I’m Aussie, I find that the American narrators speak a lot slower than me and my attention level isn’t there unless I speed it up. With that written, I have a bunch of recommendations that are good for when you only have half your brain dedicated to listening. The other half is reading an email or whatever. I read sci-fi and fantasy, and their sub genres..so I hope these help.

      {A Journey of Black and Red by Alex Gilbert}

      {Outland by Dennis E. Taylor}

      {The Kurtherian Gambit by Michael Anderle}

      If these sound good, I can give you more. Again, I don’t read these in my downtime, mainly just when at my desk.
