I see Big Brother as both sides, the political oligarchy in America. I am liberal and technically a Democrat although I don’t think the party is perfect or uncorrupt by any stretch. Still furious about how they treated Bernie.
But how could someone not see Republican tactics and specifically Trump tactics in Big Brother?
I genuinely never heard a conservative’s reading of 1984 with the interpretation. Is it valid? Yes, Biden and Dems do Big Brother things but so do Republicans and Trump does them ten fold- two minutes hate, fearmongering, a post-fact 2+2=5, ignorance is strength. How does my friend not recognize this hypocrisy?
