After 30% of “kingdom of ash” by Sarah J Maas I’m seriously thinking about abandoning it.

First of all, just seeing that I still have 16 hours left on my kindle to finish sounds like nap time to me…I can’t do this for that long. I want to read about the characters and their relationships but everything surrounds on war and all that and I’m tired…

I gave an average of 4 stars to all books in the series except “tower of dawn”, which to this day is one of the worst books I’ve ever read in the fantasy genre…

It took me 1 week to pass 10% of “kingdom of ash” while I was reading another book. At that point I thought about not finishing it but I’ve come way too far in the series right?

Anyhow, somebody please tell me if it gets better. The writing is so repetitive with a bunch of unnecessary paragraphs that aren’t even entertaining!!! My favorite characters are Manon and Dorian but even their povs can’t save this book.

I’m so disappointed. I want to know if anyone feels the same about this book and their experience reading it.

I might’ve read a minor spoiler about the ending which is making me more annoyed.
I don’t mind a book heavy in politics/war, after all my favorite book is the poppy war series, but something is not clicking right with “kingdom of ash”.
