Hey everyone, this is my first post on this sub and hopefully it is within the rules of book suggestions/recommendations.
I just got a brand new kindle 11th generation and I am looking to get back to reading.
My favorite genre are fantasy/sci-fi/mystery. I have been going through various posts on reddit, reviews on youtube and recommendations from goodread to identify which series that i should start with.
I have narrowed down a list of recommendations which i found interesting and would like to get started in the genre i mentioned. However, at this point, i can only probably get 3-4 of the books, while i would eventually read all of the books I am going to list below, i would like to know which would be the best gateway into the sci-fi/mystery/fantasy genre (All books listed have not been read by me yet):

I am not actually asking which is better (which violates the rule), but rather which would you guys recommend to go for on a tight budget.
Yes, I can go to a library and get more books, but at the moment I am on travel and would not be possible. Will definitely think of this when I reach back home.
