I don’t know how else to describe the kind of book I’m looking for except books that shed new light on how to think about the world in various ways. This isn’t quite science books although there is significant overlap. But deeply thoughtful books that help you understand better about how everything works.
Some examples of books I liked:
Thinking, fast and slow
Sapiens and Homo Deus
Guns, Germs and Steel (aware of the criticism)
The selfish gene
Principles for dealing with the changing world order
I’m looking for intellectual books so for example Malcom Gladwell type books I would consider more popular/accessible than what I’m looking for right now (although read some of those and enjoyed them as well)
