Hey all,
I’m looking for nonfiction books that are about a person or a group of people who genuinely think they are doing the good or right thing when in reality they are objectively evil. Cults and churches, corporations, politicians, those families that adopt kids for the wrong reasons, military personnel, etc.
It can be an (auto)biography or written from an outsider perspective, but if not an autobiography I would prefer it if the writers were not sympathetic or trying to whitewash the evil that the person has done. Trying to avoid true crime sensationalism and all that.
Cheers!

Slonim Woods 9 – Daniel Barban Levin
His classmates’ dad started a cult consisting of a group of students. Disturbing stuff.
