I recently read One Blade of Grass: Finding the old road of the heart, a Zen memoir by Henry Shukman. It was a wonderful story of redemption and healing through Zen Buddhism, very grounded in ordinary experience.
Can anyone recommend anything broadly similar? Doesnt have to be Buddhist, those thats a plus.
