I just finished Undaunted Courage by Stephen Ambrose about Meriwether Lewis who passed through St Louis which was a bustling town of 5000 people around 1805. The author Ambrose talked about St Louis as an interesting Frontier town that brought together a lot of groups. Would love to learn more. Any ideas?
