I’ve purchased Come Closer by Sara Gran and All Hail the House Gods by Andrew J. Stone. They are coming in a couple days, and based on the reviews they seem to deliver on shock value as well as showcase possessions and obscure rituals. Also they should be fast reads as they’re both less than 200 pages. Not completely tossing lengthy novels out of the window as long as they can keep my attention. Definitely a goal of mine to read 30 books for 2024.
