Hello,
So I have set a goal of 45 books to read this year on Goodreads.
My question is because I read manga if I just put them as individual books I would have read 5 this week. So I comes up with the idea of bundling them in 5’s to roughly be equal to an ordinary book.
Want to get others opinions on doing it like this . Or should I do them individually?

I always add the graphic novel version to my Goodreads, even if I read them as individual comics—just look for whatever has an ISBN number, and that should be the collected edition.
However, if you’re reading that much manga, I’d be tempted to leave it off the challenge.
I personally don’t count manga, the amount it takes to read a manga volume is much lower than the amount of time it takes to read a book. If I read a long running series in a couple of months that would be 75 books in a matter of months, which, compared to other people feels like cheating. It’s better to track manga on a website like MAL for example.
If you really want to calculate manga in goodreads, then maybe boxes or collections can work.
I count it for each only if I don’t read a whole lot of it but sometimes I will just count it as 1 for the whole set.
