Are there any sci-fantasy books that:
* focus more heavily on *fantasy* than hard sci-fi
* ***aren’t*** focused on being set in space
* are *BOTH* of these things
I’d like to build a sci-fantasy world but I know that you should read in the genre to understand it. But whenever I look up “sci-fantasy books” on Google, pretty much the only results I get are books set heavily in space. I’m not interested in space operas in the *slightest*.
I normally prefer modern books (past 10-15 years), but if there are older books like this, I’m willing to read them. Just make sure they’re actually available in some sort of modern format (preferably e-book) and I don’t have to go tracking down an obscure 60’s pulp fiction magazine or paperback through eBay.
