I’ve been told my reading habits are odd so I thought I’d ask here to see if anyone else does the same. I like to read multiple books at once. I always have 3-4 books going at any time and pick up whatever I feel like when I have time to read. I don’t think it’s any different than watching episodes of different tv shows instead of finishing a series before starting another one. Generally the books I read are so different I don’t have trouble keeping the storylines separate. Anyone else do this? What other unique reading habits do you have?

If the books are just as enjoyable like that, then that sounds like a good way to do it.
I tend to keep three books on the go at once, a novel, some form of non fiction and then something philosophical. I think that strikes quite a good balance so I can read what I’m in the mood for whenever I feel like it.
I read 3 books at a time
1. Ebook that I read while at work
2. Audiobook that I listen to while at my son’s practices
3. Physical that I read Mon-Fri instead of watching tv
I also have a 4th book, but I dont really count it because it’s a book of poetry. 1 poem a day for 365 days.
I have anywhere between 2-5 books going at a time, typically of different genres.
Yeah I do this. I don’t think much about it.
I don’t think it’s odd at all. Most readers I know do something similar in order to adjust reading content to their current mood.
Personally, I always have an audiobook going for the specific times in my day where I can fit that type of reading in. I have at least one, occasionally two e-books going that I can choose between. Then a paper copy for when I want to take a book with me to some place, say, a waiting room or playground while I’m supervising my kid.
