Don’t get me wrong, “A Murder In Time” is fine. Its premise of an FBI agent who falls through a hole in time Outlander-style and ends up solving murders in the early 19th century is fun. However, there was one thing that bugged me. It wasted a hundred pages on a set-up that could have been covered in a single page. This is a problem you’ll see most often with inexperienced authors. They fail to identify the point at which the actual story starts.
You could say, <puts sunglasses on> she murdered my time.
