I went on an internet spiral down erin hunter, and i’m only now realising how much I used to obsess over her books. I would buy every new book from my school scholastics club, and go to my local library every day in hopes of finding new books or to read old books that I didn’t have. Each of the books I hold really close to my heart, and I could probably list a vast majority of key characters from every series. I loved warriors, seekers and bravelands the most, and as a lonely only child with noone to talk to and kid with a really vivid imagination, I remember being able to actually see everything that was written and be immersed into the worlds in the stories.
After I finished reading the books, I began reading from the individual authors themselves, so really got into wings of fire and foxcraft.
I wish I had the money to buy all the books once again and just take a month out of my life to isolate and reread all of them.

I didn’t read the books when I was young (I was an adult before they came out) but all three of my kids have adored the Warriors books. This Christmas my daughter asked for hard copy versions of the Warriors books and I found them all on ThriftBooks for good prices. I’ve also seen paperback copies of some box sets of various Warriors series for as little as $25 on FB marketplace near me. So you may be able to indulge your desire to buy at least some of them again!
I read a large majority of the Warriors books. I was obsessed, I could read one book a day in the 4th grade.
omg….you just unlocked a middle school period of my life i compartmentalised.
erin hunter’s world building was captivating. how she managed to build such an elaborate yet coherent world about CATS is beyond me.
