TW: alchoholism
I think I had a tooth to pick of how the book progressed. From Fuyuko turning into an alcoholic and the betrayal of Mitsutsuka, I can’t even process why did all of that had to happen.
Imo, Mitsutsuka showed red flag vibes right from the start. I was putting red tabs (which meant for warning in my tabs legend) in every interaction Fuyuko had with him. There was something sus about the guy right from the moment he saw Fuyuko when she vomited in the public bathroom.
I was also furious when Fuyuko met up with that girl who endorsed to her the freelancing job and talked badly about Hijiri and her choices with men.
I think the story ended on a good note that Fuyuko and Hijiri were gonna raise Hijiri’s kid together. It was giving Soulmate (2023).
The parts that tackled about loneliness really struck my heart as it takes one to know one to be acquainted with being lonely when we’re adults.
