Hi all, I used to read a lot a couple of years ago and now I’m picking up this habit again, but I found that I fell behind and am having trouble choosing my next reads. I have a kindle so availability isn’t a problem.

My favorite books are:
\- Shannara by Terry Brooks. I loved his style, the introspection on the main characters and the story
\- The Expanse by James Corey
\- Almost all the books of Emilio Salgari
\- Most books of Simon Scarrow, Anthony Riches and Valerio Manfredi
\- Couple of books of Patricia Cornwell and Jeffery Deaver

I usually enjoy historical fiction, fantasy and recently I started reading crime fiction. Any recommendation? Thanks in advance!

Perdido Street Station by China Mieville straddles fantasy and science-fiction
The Other Einstein by Marie Benedict. You won’t be able to put it down!
Based on the sci-fi and crime fiction mentions, I’ll recommend Titanium Noir by Nick Harkaway and We Have Always Been Here by Lena Nguyen.
Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel. Presumed Innocent and Innocent by Scott Turow. Any books by Ruth Rendell. Also wrote under the pseudonym Barbara Vine. You might want to try Minette Walters’ crime novels. She has also written two historical novels— The Last Hours and The Turn of Midnight. The books focus on the effects of the Black Death on an English village.
