I don’t have much to say about it other than I read it once 15 years ago and considered it one of my favorites ever since. Upon rereading it last week I found that I hardly recalled it at all but so enjoyed it. A beautiful read, excessively visual and deep.
I don’t have friends to chat about it with so wondered if anyone wanted to share their thoughts about it here. Would also be interested in recommendations for other, similar books.
Also! I put on Saltburn – Amazon’s highly advertised new movie and I am struck by the similarity. Infatuation between young men, eventual introduction to Madonna mother figure, etc.
