I don’t know if you’ve ever felt that a book lied to you, but i feel so strongly about this one that i feel like i have to call the author out on it. I may just be misinterpreting the message of the book, (I am very dumb) but this messed with me. Piper CJ did.
I love The Night and its Moon. Amazing character development, world building, magic system, the book is at least a 9.5/10.
And in that book, it is made quite clear that Nox and Amaris love each other deeply. No matter how they interact with others, even if they sleep with other people, their hearts belong to each other.
Then we get The Sun and its Shade.
It seems like suddenly, out of no where, both main character start developing feelings for the people around them, just because they treat them with some level of decency.
why.
Maybe I really am as stupid as I think and i have no reading comprehension abilities. Maybe I’m right. but this made me very sad, and very angry.
Does anyone else feel this way about a certain book?
