Hi! I’m a teen who doesn’t read much, apart from assignments at school and the time where I read the adventures of Sherlock Holmes. I have some books, but they don’t make me want to continue reading the same way as when I read Holmes. I think that if I can find a book that motivates me, I could make reading a usual occurrence.
Also, I’m pretty ignorant in books, at best I know the classics, or at least some of them.
Thanks!!

What types of media and tv shows do you like? There are books out there for every type of genre. Many movies and tv shows are based on books. If you like to watch Game of Thrones, you may want to read the novels. Same with The Witcher.
Start will some novel who are easy and entertaining like Flatland, The Horla, Perfume, The Alchemist, The Ants, The Count of Monte Cristo, Animal farm, The Stranger, those kind of books are interesting, simple and easy to read
It sounds like you enjoy classic mysteries… maybe try out Agatha Christie. My favorite of hers is And Then There Were None.
For a lot of people it helps to start with reading the books of the movies/shows that you like. Then you branch out by genre from there and read books that haven’t been made into films yet
