I live with my grandma in a condo with mostly older people. They have a ladies book club so of course I’m in it and we need a new book club pick. I’m about 40+ years younger than most of these women so some of my tastes seem to be a little different and I’m looking for recommendations.
Needs:
– under 500 pages, retired life is busy and we have a month to read each book
– fiction, historical fiction or literary fiction. They tend to have difficulty with magical realism or magic of any kind so no fantasy
– nothing on Reese whitherspoons book club list. Most of them read every single one and tend to choose RWBC books so something outside of that would be great
