    1. If you want high angst and drama, you could try the Beebo Brinker Chronicles from the late 50s and early 60s, by Ann Bannon. It’s a series of novels that can be read alone. Ann Bannon had not yet come out of the closet when she first started writing them. She created the lesbian world she imagined existed in Greenwich Village, New York.

    2. Milk Fed by Melissa Broder. This book really captures unfettered lust in a shocking way. I loved it!

    3. Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir. This series fills me with so many emotions! However, the author has a very strongly love-it-or-hate-it writing style.

The Mimicking of Known Successes by Malka Older. Cozy lesbian detective romance.

Trouble and Her Friends by Melissa Scott. Character driven lesbian romance between two hacker ex-girlfriends.
