I think I may be a little late to the party with this one but I just finished A Little Life and found it totally relentless. I can’t think of a better word really, I’m not sure if I feel like it was relentless in a good way or if it was just off putting.
I got through it quickly, and I liked most of the characters, so I couldn’t give it a bad review. From the hype I’d seen on TikTok I was expecting it to be one of those life changing cathartic type of reads but it didn’t really get there for me. (POTENTIAL – MILD- SPOILER) I found pretty much every turn fairly predictable, which in itself isn’t really a bad thing I don’t think, and maybe it says more about my tendency to be pessimistic than anything else.
Overall I’m just not sure how I felt about it and I was wondering what other people thought.
