Hey guys, so I’ve been inspired and blown away by Christian imagery, from architecture to fantasy / gothic side of it. Need suggestions regarding which art books can I buy next? They could be of a fictional franchise, a Renaissance artist, even a graphic novel or a manga / comic. My main purpose is to just look at the imagery / illustratuons/ designs and not looking to read any stories as such, although I wouldn’t mind them, if they have illustrations.
Just to give a bit of context, I recently purchased art books such as: The Art of Castlevania, the animated series, Heironymus Bosch complete works 40th anniversary Ed Taschen, The Fantastic Gustave Dore.
Books such as the above-mentioned are in the sweet spot, a mix of fantasy, gothic horror, and having Christian imagery.
PS: I’m not necessarily looking for gothic architecture books. While I love it, I do need it to be romanticized, created by artists , or presented in franchises.
Thanks!
