Just to give you an idea of what books I liked, so yall can offer me recs (TIA), I binge read and LOVED these books in a day- Crying in H mart, Yellowface, Bad Feminist, and the Housemaid.
BOOKS I DID NOT FINISH:
I could NOT get myself to finish even 10 percent of anything by Colson Whitehead, The Normal People book, or anything by Zadie Smith.
i could definitely use some recommendations! Send them to me!! I tend to enjoy fiction a lot more than nonfiction, but definitely down for an awesome memoir or a bingeable nonfiction.

Verity (it’s a love or hate, I know), The Housemaid, Ask for Andrea
The Dungeoneers, which is about a group of dwarves who loot dungeons for treasure. Because they do it professionally, everyone has a specific job and they have protocols for tackling various dangers.
It’s basically fantasy competence porn.
Piranesi by Susannah Clarke. It’s really good
Really Good, Actually by Monica Heisey! It was a really unhinged read that was charming, funny, and heavy in places!
