When I first watched Loki, something that massively stood out to me was the idea of the TVA- This high concept, multiversal, retrofuturistic organization that really instilled this feeling of wonder in me. It almost reminded me of a liminal space back when those were a thing. Does anyone have any books that kind of capture that same vibe or energy, that will instill that same feeling of awe? It doesn’t need to be multiverse related, but something super conceptual like that.

Charles Stross is probably the writer for you, his book Singularity Sky has an AI that enforces it’s anti-time travel rule, but his other books would probably interest you, too.

The Rise and Fall of D.O.D.O. (writers Neal Stephenson and Nicole Galland) is about how an organization like that could get started.

Thursday Next series (Fforde) has one organization patrolling time travel and another for protecting fiction

Heinlein’s books The Number of the Beast and The Cat Who Walks Through Walls also explore high concept multi-verse organizations

I’ll just throw in Magic 2.0, it’s a light-hearted series about time travelling and the problems it causes, but the characters aren’t any good at organizing
