    Not sure if this is the place to post this but my reading has gotten pretty poor and it hasn’t really been too much of a problem until I’ve started doing more groupwork with my friend in class. She reads super fast and I feel bad for kinda slowing us down since I read immensely slow most of the time, so I wanted to try and improve on that and start reading again. I’ve always looked at The Great Gatsby as an option but was never really sure if I would enjoy it. Would The Great Gatsby be a good book for a 15 year old male? Not as in “Is this too gruesome or violent for me?” way but more as a “Will I find this boring asf” kinda way. The kind of story games, shows, and movies I really enjoy are Red Dead 2, GTA V, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Oppenheimer, John Wick, Narcos, and The Walking Dead. Maybe you could use that info to choose a suggestion. I like a lot more than that but those are the kinda games and series’ that made me “feel” and whatnot. Thank you for your time 🙂

      Have you read Holes by Louis Sachar? That’s my go to recommendation for getting into reading. As for the Great Gatsby, lots of people love it, but I personally found it pretty boring, so it’s hard to know how you’d feel about it

    2. You might like City of Thieves by David Benioff. It’s about two young men in the Nazi siege of Leningrad who are arrested for looting and deserting, and given the choice or execution or having to pull off a heist to steal a dozen eggs.

      Also, Project Hail Mary is science fiction but a really fun and entertaining read.

      A couple more fantasy options are the Rangers Apprentice series and the Percy Jackson series.

    3. The Great Gatsby is a great book and a good option for your age. It was actually assigned school reading for me around then. The Giver is also a fantastic book and not too long. I’m not sure if you’d be a fan of Harry Potter but those books are great and the first few are pretty easy reads.

    4. Though I a 30sF, if you are like me at 15, biographies could get you into reading again. Try the book Oppenheimer was based on: {{American Prometheus}}
