This issue started about 2 years ago, but has gotten worse over time. I have to focus really hard sometimes to mentally process the words I’m reading, which causes stress over time.
I also end up skipping over sections or zoning out and aren’t able to focus on the text.
Could this be related to adhd? I was diagnosed with inattentive adhd last year. Still trying to see a psychiatrist for the proper medication.
What’s confusing is that I used to be able to focus and read for long periods of time, but not anymore. I’m sad because I really enjoy reading, but have zero ability to focus.
I tend to immediately forget what I just read, which makes studying much more challenging.
