ive read a few books like that (usually ya fantasy lol) and while i didn’t hate them i would prefer something different. i don’t mean like the protag has to be super independant, everyone needs help sometimes, but it gets annoying when its excessive

less of a focus on romance
a setting in a fantasy world
and for the protag to have some kind of magic or abilities or something
i might be being a little too specific but thanks anyways :p
