Fiction or narrative nonfiction about the Romanovs?

I just finished a rewatch of The Crown and it reminded me how interesting and shocking the demise of the Romanovs was, but I know very little about it. It’s rare that I feel like reading something historical, so I want to capitalize on this interest.

I don’t enjoy very academic writing, so if anyone has recs for extensively researched fiction, or narrative nonfiction (Erik Larson-esque) about this topic, let me know! Thanks!!
