So I picked this book without knowing anything about its plot and it floored me. If you’ve read this book, you might be thinking “Nah. it’s not that scary bro! it’s just body horror”. And you’re not wrong. But what terrified me in this book is that I can totally see our society legalizing cannibalism with the same naturality that was done in it.

I might be sounding too dramatic, but especially after this pandemic – where we could see a vast majority of people not giving a shit about other people’s safety, some claiming that “old people would die anyway”, “what about the economy” and so on – I wouldn’t be surprised at all.

So, yeah. This book scared the living shit out of me.
