I was reading through another Michael Crichton centric post concerning their least favorite and most favorite Crichton novels, and The Lost World didn’t appear as much as I had thought. And when it did, it was generally negative reviews. Though I know TLW isn’t top tier Crichton (despite the fact I do love the book) I don’t think it’s bad enough to deserve some of the hate it seems to get. However, I’m interested to hear why some may hate it.

I didn’t hate it, overall it’s extremely mid imo, it definitely reads like something he was pressured into writing (because he was).
