I love 19th century Russian novels and there’s a stigma with these type of books and other classics that they are for the refined, intelligent person. Reading them didn’t make me either but they did give me confidence. Getting through books that stigmatized as “tough” gave me the confidence to overcome other things that are considered “tough”.
If “crime and punishment” is considered reserved for mr. Smarty pants and I got through it alive then what else can I accomplish.
Anyone feel this?
