I had to stop reading for a while but hope to start up again soon. I’d love to pick up a new series but single or one off books are okay.
Some books I’ve read and enjoyed are:
    Harry Potter,
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children,
    Vampire Academy,
    Bloodlines,
    The Ghost and the Goth,
My Sister’s Keeper (enjoyed the story line and plot- did NOT like the way it was written with every chapter a different person’s perspective.),
Handmaid’s tale (just the first/original, not the second book.,
Jack London’s Call of the Wild and White Fang,
Black Beauty, Where the Red Fern Grows, Shakespere,A raisin in the sun, and a few other classics.,
I have read Manga (japanese comic books) in the past: anything similar to these titles in novel form would be acceptable:
Naruto, Bleach, Inubaka, Inuyasha, Ouran High School Host Club, Fruits Basket, Kamisama Hajimemashita, Maid Sama, Dusk Maiden of Amnesia

Subjects and plots I find interesting:
    Fantasy,
High School shenanigans- bonus if its not a regular high school but a school for specialties,
    Magic,
Person learning about the modern world or rich person learning about poor life or anything similar to that,
A series or book that doesn’t have an expected ending- whether its good but a different direction than expected or bad.

Young Adult genre is preferred but adult novels are okay too if they might be something i like.
Romance is ok- would prefer no more than a medium level spice (implied intimacy is best but a paragraph or two of description or slang words is fine.
    Blood/gore/violence is fine.
Would prefer minimal horror/mystery but a little is ok.
One person’s view only please. Either told from first person or third person but each chapter should be consistent instead of flipping back and forth to different people and story lines.
Ideally no more than 400 pages per book but there is wiggle room- if I like it, the length wont matter much!
Should be a generally available series- I will be using my local library for renting physical books. I do not have a device for audio books or e-reading. My library shares books with others in the state but for the most part books need to be published but a known publisher, self published books arent generally stocked unless they are popular titles. Zodiac Academy is on my list but is not available in any of our state libraries.
Preferably no more classic titles, even if they arent in my list (mice and men, great gatsby etc)

    1. You could tackle The Black Stallion series, by Walter Farley! Publication order is probably a good idea. Warning: They get… weird, late in the series.

Highly recommend Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend! Definitely a favorite, and there are three books out so far, and they’re available at most libraries and bookstores
