I feel like I’ve read all the major popular series but I want another similar series to get into. Teen or adult. I’m not big into smut- Sarah J Maas type of books are out. I prefer dystopian or space genres. Some I’ve liked:
Hunger games + BSS
Divergent
Maze Runner
Scythe
Percy Jackson
Enders Game
* My all time fav is Leviathin Awakes by James Corey.

Contagion and Immunity by Erin Bowman (ya zombie virus in space)
The gone series is absolutely wild
Unwind by Neal Shusterman
Uglies by Scott Westerfield
Try Red Rising by Pierce Brown.
The born trilogy by Tara brown is pretty similar, and really good
**Southern Reach** trilogy by Jeff Vandermeer (psychological suspense with a bit of a paranormal/x-files vibe)
**84k**by Claire North (not a series but a really good dystopian murder mystery)
**Firefall** series by Peter Watts (mostly set in space)
**Canticle for Leibowitz** by Walter Miller (not a series but a really cool plot set centuries after nuclear Armageddon)
**Land of Tomorrow** Apocalypse trilogy by Ryan King (also nuclear)
**Loosed Upon the World** edited by John Joseph Adams (a collection of short stories that all deal with apocalypses and/or dystopias brought on by climate change. A ton of writers, including well known ones like Margaret Atwood and Paolo Bacogoluci)
**Nyxia Triad** trilogy by Scott Reintgein (*Hunger Games* meets *Maze Runner* meets *District 9*)
**The Passage** trilogy by Justin Ronin (garden variety zombie apocalypse but vampires)
**The Peripheral** trilogy by William Gibson (dystopia/time travel/quantum physics/murder mystery/apocalypse)
**Wayward Pines**trilogy by Blake Crouch (something is definitely wrong in this picture perfect town, but what?)
**The Three Body Problem** trilogy by Liu Cixin (alternate timeline/dystopia/aliens/viva La revolucion!)
**Silo** trilogy by High Howey (sort of like Maze runner in how it draws out the answers to wtf is going on, also the first half of the first book is now an awesome series on Apple Plus)
**The Last Policeman** by Ben Winters. (A life-killing asteroid will hit earth in 6 months and everyone knows it)
**The Future** by Naomi Alderman (not a series but I’m reading it now. Dont know exactly what’s up yet, but it starts when the three most famous tech billionaires on earth get “the notification” that it’s time to head to their bunkers without anyone following them)
Not a series but Battle Royale by Koushun Takami came out 10 years before Hunger Games.
Someone already suggested it but I wanna push it again – You are screaming for the Red Rising series.
