To me the big one is The Great Gatsby (1925). The beautiful dust jacket (known as “Celestial Eyes”) designed by Francis Cugat was instrumental to how F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote the book.
In fact, in terms of book collecting the dust jacket is worth far more than the book for first editions.
A first edition without the dust jacket will go for about 5 to 10 thousand dollars.
A first edition with the dust jacket will easily go for over 100 thousand dollars.

I judge all books by their cover.
