I loved Dracula and The Woman in White plus Frankenstein
The Woman in White and Frankenstein were told through a series of shorter stories or at least vignettes. All three of them are gothic in nature. Thrill me reddit, what should I read next?
Lady Audley’s Secret by Mary Elizabeth Braddon or East Lynne by Mrs Ellen Wood. Both authors were contemporaries of Wilkie Collins. I love Lady Audley so much, she is an amazing character/ completely unhinged for Victorian times

Try {Damnable Tales: A Folk Horror Anthology by Richard Wells}

I read The Woman in White because it was listed as an inspiration in The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield, which I enjoyed very much. It’s a modern gothic story with a twist I absolutely didn’t see coming.
