I really want to read more fantasy this year, but I find most of the “Tiktok” fantasy books are all love stories or just not the sort of plot I’m into.
Normally I read horror, a lot of King and yes, I love the Dark Tower series.
I’ve also read a bunch of Clive Barker. I’m currently reading LOTR, and I’d love to find some decent dark-fantasy type of books or series.
Anything similar to that, or even similar to things like Dark Souls/Elden Ring type of fantasy would be great.
Any recs?

If you’re looking for a fantasy that’s both fun and thought-provoking, ‘Discworld’ by Terry Pratchett, beginning with ‘The Color of Magic,’ is my recommendation. Pratchett’s satirical take on fantasy tropes, combined with his incisive social commentary, makes for a highly entertaining read.
