I always listen to music when I read as I find it hard to do anything in silence. I’ve started making playlists based on vibes of the books. I usually read about 40 pages then make a playlist based on what I’ve read so far and edit it as I go on.
I’ve made a Little Women playlist, a Fight Club Playlist, and I’m making a Frankenstein playlist at the moment.
What vibes have you assigned to different playlists, if you make them? Little Women was a more light, romancey playlist but it also had a few sad songs. Fight Club had lots of sad songs and punk songs. My Frankenstein playlist is shaping up to have some sad songs along with songs about cannibalism or self loathing and wanting to change. The contents of the songs don’t always fit the actual story but more of a general vibe of it.
