I read a fair bit, I hit 108 books last year but my average is more in the 70s. Usually I just walk into a library and pull whatever catches my eye, but sometimes I get in moods.
Right now, I’m looking for something big and beefy, >500 pages, at least, preferably >700.
Large books I’ve enjoyed:
– The Grey House (current favorite)
– House of Leaves
– Brent Weeks
– Dune
– Le Guin
– The Physician by Gordon
– Junji Ito
– Doomsday Book
– Gaiman
– Craig Thompson
– Babel
– Susanne Clark
– Nix
– The Expanse
I did not like:
– Sanderson (treats the reader like they’re dumb)
– Infinite jest (maybe someday)
King is just meh, usually.
Horror, fantasy, sci fi are my jam. Love magical realism and unreliable narrator.
