So I was here almost two weeks ago asking for suggestions for books, as I’ve made a resolution to read at least 2 per month. I got a lot of advice from people who also have ADHD and struggle with reading, which helped me quite a bit. I started with audio books and worked in some physical books, and I took a trip to my local bookstore to buy at least one book that caught my eye.
Since starting on January first, I have now finished two audiobooks (collective 13 hours) and I’m a few stories into 2 different short story anthology books (collective 210 pages). I’ve also added some new things to my list and done some thinking about what I’m looking for in suggestions.
I’m primarily interested in fantasy, horror, and LGBTQ+ (particularly lesbian and non-binary) themes. I would also like fiction or nonfiction focusing on the voices and lives of poc and other cultures/religions/ethnicities, as well as neurodivergence.
