Dune was and is a terrible book. I said it. As an avid science fiction and book lover in general, i was excited to read one of the most hyped up and recommended novels of all time. Unfortunately, my expectations were crushed and i was left with an incomprehensible character change, an incredibly lazy time skip, a boring story told within a mediocre world, and some (tbf pretty cool) sandworm things. Does anybody agree? If you need me i’ll be mentally preparing for a bombardment in the comments lol

Frequent repost. I dare say, a *common* refrain.
Do one where the corpse of the horse is still recognizable.
I’ll support you, although I do not think alike. I think everyone has their taste, and that means that certain books could mean trash for you, but be a masterpiece for another.
I personally think the world of Dune is incredibly well-crafted and the characters are believable, especially if you count the religious aspects of the story (for me that was really captivating), but I can’t force you to think that, I can’t tell you that it’s the best book ever written, only that I found it a good piece of literature and that “mediocre world building” is, I think not true, when you look at how much thought went into it.
But otherwise, I respect your opinion.
