Alright, I’ve decided 2024 is the year I figure out what I love reading. I’m new to reading after being an absolute bookworm in my childhood. Why not use turning 30 this year as a reason to come back to my love?
I’ve compiled a list of 27 genres, and added some about me info. **I will read the most upvoted book from each genre.**
**About me:**
I’m okay with both fiction and nonfiction as long as the story is good.
I love funny shows and movies, I love Disney movies, I LOVE psychological thrillers that I can’t figure out.
I have read both light hearted and serious books and I like both.
I don’t have length preferences as long as the story is gripping.
I’m fascinated by the Salem witch trials, slavery in both America and abroad, civil rights, women’s rights, and also I love movies like The Big Short or Wolf of Wall Street that tell a story from history but in a very entertaining way. Pretty much anything having to do with oppression or corruption.
I struggle with fantasy and science fiction. I want to like it, but there seems to be too much exposition for me to enjoy the book. But I would love to find a witch book I enjoy since I’m a witch (I struggle here bc I get major booktok FOMO but maybe I just don’t like fantasy?).
I LOVE solving puzzles, I LOVE suspense and I LOVE twist endings.
I’m open to trying romance but it needs to include smut AND an amazing story OR a bizarre but cute story like the movie Stranger Than Fiction.
**Some tv shows and movies I love:**
The Office
Ted Lasso
The Mummy
Wolf of Wall Street
The Big Short
Mad Max Fury Road
Gone girl
Us
Get Out
Midsommar
Hereditary Effect
Stranger Than Fiction
Soul (Disney)
