A lot of fantasy books I find are really romance books with a fantasy setting. Which is fine, but I really want to read an action fantasy or sci-if book with a FMC that doesn’t revolve around romance.
Also some other things I’d rather not see in the book:
– Abusive relationships played off as romantic (if there must be romance)
– Passive main character
– “I’m not like other girls” & “Boys are less drama” kind of energy from the FMC
– FMC that is afraid of her power
– SA played of as something that made her stronger
